Amrita Puri is an actor from Mumbai and was born on 20th August 1983. He was born and brought up in Mumbai. She did her schooling and college from Mumbai itself, while after her PG she went on to start working with theatre writing and doing plays. Her first play was Quasar Thakore Padamsee. She also did copywriting for Ads company called Ogilvy and several magazines. Meanwhile, she also did a few commercials for brands like People First L’Oreal and Garnier to name a few. She soon got the film in B Town called Aisha with Sonam Kapoor where she played Shefali Thakur.

She was nominated at different award functions including at Stardust to get the Best Breakthrough Performance Award. She then got another film called Blood Money playing Arzoo Kadam, followed by Kai Po Che in 2013. She is also seen in the recently released film India’s Most Wanted with Arjun Kapoor playing Priyanka Rao, while would be also seen in Mental Hai Kya in the role called Zoya Mathur with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao. During 2015 to 2019 she was busy in small screen doing several TV shows.

She did her debut in small screen with the Stories by Rabindranath Tagore in 2015 seen in episodic roles. The next year she played Harleen Kaur opposite Purab Kohli in the TV Show called P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke, which was aired on Star Plus, which ended in 2017. In the year 2019, she then remained the part of two web series – Four More Shots Please seen in the supporting role along with Made In Heaven with an episodic role. Her father is an MD at HDFC Bank, while she is married to a Mumbai based man called Imrun Sethi.
