New Worlds and Tribes in Kalki 2
Kalki 2 is set to expand the universe introduced in the first film, featuring a fourth world, Flux Lands, and a new tribe known as the Nomens. While a 30-day filming schedule was completed last year, the team has significant action portions left to shoot. A massive set has been constructed on the outskirts of Hyderabad, where key sequences will be filmed. Notably, the first film was shot in Shankarpally, and this time, the production is raising the bar for an even more ambitious vision. Bachchan is expected to start prepping for his role by the end of March 2025, ensuring he’s ready to bring Ashwatthama’s heroic yet complex persona to life once filming commences.
