At least according to these fan speculations, Amitabh Bachchan may have just spilt the beans on the largest crossover in Bollywood film history.
On Saturday night, the megastar grabbed an old photo of Shah Rukh Khan from his album. Intriguingly, Shah Rukh is seen watching Bachchan autograph a vintage ‘Don’ movie poster. He captioned the post, “…. and … errr … continuing in the same vein .. DON.”
The tweet came following rumours that Farhan Akhtar, the director of ‘Don,’ had put his film ‘Jee Le Zara,’ starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, on hold to focus on his new script. Big B’s tweet appeared to stoke rumours that the script in question is for the long-awaited ‘Don 3’ that fans have been clamouring for for nearly a decade.
After the image went viral, many speculated that Bachchan was hinting at a possible return as the iconic character in what could be one of Bollywood’s biggest crossovers to date.
“@SrBachchan giving us a lot of hints about DON 3,” a fan said while sharing a picture of the actor’s post.
“Are the DONs reuniting for DON 3?” a fan asked in a tweet.

While ‘Don 3’ has been buzzing on social media, Bachchan is commemorating the 44th anniversary of his film’s debut. Big B marked four decades of his character, which was taken over by SRK in the 2006 film, by sharing some vintage images.
