Once upon a time there was Gadar Ek Prem Katha, and now there is Toilet Ek Prem Katha. As funny as its title may sound but this upcoming Akshay Kumar film is a satirical comedy you should watch out for. The film is Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the movie stars Bhumi Pednekar in lead role alongside Akki. Yesterday we rejoiced over the announcement of release date of the quirky venture, and today we do the same as the first poster has been released.
Painted in bright red, and with release date pasted at the bottom, the poster of Toilet Ek Prem Katha only adds to our anticipation. The red colours used in the poster gives it a very rustic and rural touch. Only closeup shots of Akshay and Bhumi – both dressed in traditional Indian wedding wear – catch your eye on the poster. Text above their pictures reads stree and purush, female and male in Hindi, and makes the poster go with the theme. Also, don’t forget to notice that the letter O in Toilet is a actually a toilet seat. Funny, right? If toilet humour is what makes you laugh, this poster will surely get you.
Akshay ’s Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is slated to face competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Imtiaz Ali. Rumoured to be titled Rehnuma, the film will also be releasing on the same day as TKPK, that is on August 11, 2017. So far the only thing known about the story of Toilet Ek Prem Katha is that it revolves around Indian Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
