Alyssa Mendonsa is not an unfamiliar name in the playback singing world in B Town. She is a popular singer in Bollywood, who started her career in this industry with Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone film Karthik Calling Karthik in 2010. She hails from New Delhi but was brought in Bombay. She comes from the prestigious music family. Her father Loy Mendonsa is a popular music composer and is often seen composing music for a number of films under the trio music brand called Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. She has been singing from her childhood all thanks to her father and the love of music she has developed from him. She did her BA in English literature from the popular college St. Xaviers College Mumbai.

Her journey of a playback singer in Bollywood started with the song Uff Teri Ada from Karthik Calling Karthik, which turned a big hit giving her a good launch pad for the very first venture. She then got the chance to sing for the Sajid Khan’s film called Housefull singing two songs called Oh Girl and Papa Jag Jayega along with Ritu Pathak and Neeraj Shridhar. Her next vocal song was Adhoore for the film Break Ke Baad, also turned out a popular song in B Town. She then sung the song called “Baby When You Talk To Me” for the Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma film called Patiala House.

Alyssa Mendonsa also got the chance to sing the song called “Khushfehmiyan” for the film One by Two released in 2014 with the music composer Shankar Mahadevan. Some of the other films in which she got the chance to sing include Zokkomon, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Amen, D Day, etc. And her recent film wherein we heard her singing includes the Zoya Akhtar’s venture called Dil Dhadakne Do, which was a multi-starrer film. Besides, she has also given her voice for a popular shopping portal based in Gurgaon called, which we find in a number of TV channels all across India. She is also a regular face over the stages of different award function programs, including the Filmfare and other similar award functions.
