ALT Balaji’s It Happened In Calcutta To Be Directed By Ishq Vishq Director Ken Ghosh

Naghma RizwanALTBalaji has recently announced its upcoming web series It Happened in Calcutta, which has already taken a lot of hype amongst the audiences as it will be launching a fresh face Naghma Rizwan, who has rolled over a really huge number of audition to bag this role. With all eyes set on her and co-star Karan Kunddra, the famed director Ken Ghosh will be taking care of the direction part of this heartfelt love story set in Kolkata around the 60s and 70s. After directing a  number of successful films like- Haq se, DevDD, and XXX, Ghosh will be venturing into this period drama.

Speaking about this recent project, Ken Ghosh said, “It took a lot of research to get the true essence that the series is all about. It will take you (the audience) to the era of the 60s in the City of Joy – Calcutta showcasing a classic love story. Working with ALTBalaji has always been fun and I’m having a great experience directing the series. It’s a pleasure to work with Ekta Kapoor and ALTBalaji again. I hope this series, like the ones I’ve made before, strikes the right chord with the audience and ends up as a rousing success.”

The story of the series revolves around a young girl, Kusum who is a medical aspirant and comes to Kolkata with a dream of becoming an esteemed doctor in the city. She gets into Calcutta Medical College to pursue her dream and make them true. As cupid strikes her just like a riveting tale, she meets the handsome stud of the college, Ronobir and gradually falls in love with him.
