Alia-Ranbir Wedding: Karan Johar couldn’t hold his tears seeing the actress as a bride
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor finally took the wedding vows in the presence of family and friends. The much talked about wedding took place today and the photos of the ceremony have gone viral within no time.
Alia and filmmaker Karan Johar share a special bond. According to sources, Karan couldn’t control his tears and was overcome with emotion at Alia and Ranbir’s wedding, especially when he saw Alia dressed as a bride.
Alia and Ranbir married on Thursday afternoon in a small, intimate ceremony at his Bandra home, Vastu. The couple’s family and close friends, including Karan and a few others, were in attendance.
As per the source who was at the wedding, Karan arrived at the wedding with fellow filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and became emotional as soon as they saw Alia Bhatt in her bridal dress. In fact, when he saw the actress as a bride, Karan couldn’t stop his tears. The two filmmakers then approached the newlyweds and gave them hugs and blessings.

Some media reports also suggested, that Karan got overwhelmed when Alia’s family asked him to be a part of the family during the haldi ceremony. Karan has previously expressed his admiration for Alia. Alia’s career in Bollywood was launched by the filmmaker with Student of the Year, and she is reportedly guided in her career choices as well.

Karan is now directing her in his next film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In his previous film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, he directed Ranbir.
Karan is also the producer of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Alia and Ranbir’s first film together. Around 2017, Alia and Ranbir began dating on the set of this film.
