Remember, Karan Johar film Dostana starring John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan along with Priyanka Chopra, yes the same film that gave the song Desi Girl that soon turned popular. Well, as per the latest buzz, Karan Johar is now gearing up for a sequel for this 2008 film. So, after 11 years of wait, the makers have now planned to roll out the sequel of the film. As per reports, the makers have started their pre-production work. The latest buzz suggests that Karan Johar has confirmed Alia Bhatt for Dostana 2. Before he could decide about the male leads, he confirmed Alia for it. She has done her debut in Bollywood with Karan Johar film Student of the Year in 2012.
Needless to say that Alia would reject a film by Karan Johar as also know that she has done a couple of films ever since her debut movie with Karan Johar. In fact, when Karan Johar narrated the story of the film she was more than ready to accept this venture. Also, sources claim that when Karan when discussed the idea of making the sequel, she had shown interest after the filmmaker asked her to join him for this venture. Now, she will go through the script, study the character and then after the formalities, she is all set to start her next venture.
It will have two male co-stars with Alia Bhatt like seen in the first part. Karan is yet to make the official announcement of the star cast as the process is still going on. He has started with the pre-production activities that have started claimed a tabloid report. We know Alia Bhatt is doing a couple of other movies as well including Brahmastra opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which is a film that has brought them together as love birds. Then she is doing Sadak made by her father and would be soon seen in Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh. In a career of six years, she has achieved that has carved her niche in the industry. She is also the part of a Telugu movie called RRR by SS Rajamouli with Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
