There is no doubt about Alia Bhatt’s talent. The actress had shown her impeccable transformation in terms of acting skills and looks. Alia is one of the few actresses in the industry who doesn’t fear taking on challenging roles and performing them with at most honesty.
While Alia Bhatt is all set to portray the role of Gangubai Kathiawadi in the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film an interesting trivia about the film has made headlines. Ever since the film was announced it has managed to create a lot of hype amongst the audience. As the cast and crew prepare for the trailer’s release, a recent media storey outlines how the actor prepared for the role by consulting a few s*x workers from Mumbai’s most notorious red-light area.
Alia was last seen in the film Sadak 2, which received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Her previous film, RRR, was supposed to be out in January, but it was postponed due to the Omicron variant and the consequent COVID 19 outbreak in the country. SS Rajamouli directed this epic film, which stars South Indian superstars Ram Charan and NTR Rama Rao Jr.
Alia Bhatt undertook extensive research to fit into the persona of Gangubai Kathiawadi, according to a recent report by Bollywood Life. She worked with a famous dialect coach to ensure that her diction and voice modulation were perfect for the film’s strong dialogues. She also learned about Gangubai’s reign and area by speaking with a few real-life s*x workers in Mumbai’s Kamathipura neighbourhood, where Gangubai was well-known.
According to the same report, Alia aced the role based on her own observations and was well-guided by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Ajay Devgn will play a unique part in Gangubai Kathiawadi, although details regarding his character have yet to be released. Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, and Shantanu Maheshwari are among the actors that will appear in the film.
