Alia Bhatt Honored at the Joy Awards in Riyadh; Expresses Movie Obsession in Acceptance Speech

Alia Bhatt, a versatile actress who has achieved great success in Indian cinema, was recently honored for her contributions to the film industry at the prestigious Joy Awards held in Saudi Arabia. The event brought together talented filmmakers and artists from around the world. During the ceremony in Riyadh, Alia was presented with the Honorary Entertainment Makers Award. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude for the recognition and shared her profound love for cinema.

Alia looked stunning at the event, donning an embroidered red and blue saree paired with a matching cape featuring a long trail. Her half-tied hair and golden traditional danglers added to her elegant appearance. As she took the stage to accept the award, Alia began by expressing her appreciation to the dignitaries for their efforts in bringing global talents together under one roof in the name of cinema. She said, “It’s a privilege to be here in this nation, a nation that is currently making tremendous efforts to unite us all and celebrate cinema. It’s rare to witness such an occasion where talents from the East and West come together to appreciate each other. So thank you for making this possible.”

Continuing her speech, Alia shared, “Tonight is truly an extraordinary night. I am obsessed with movies; it’s my entire world. I often joke that when I was born, I came out saying ‘Lights, camera, action.’ That’s how much cinema means to me. And when we talk about joy, one of the greatest joys in our lives is love. So tonight, as I return home, I carry with me the love for movies and the love that I have felt here in Riyadh. Thank you so much, and here’s to the magic of movies.”

Aside from her recognition at the Joy Awards, Alia Bhatt has been making waves in both Bollywood and Hollywood. She recently made her Hollywood debut in 2023 with the film “Heart of Stone.” Currently, Alia is working on her next project titled “Jigra,” which she is also producing.
