Hostages web series has already released just a few days ago and is coming out as a gripping thriller with its first impression. Thanks to the amazing performance coming from the superstar actors like Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra, the series is already a hit.

Hostages has been written by Sana Farzeen and was released on sizzlingstar special starring, Ronit Roy, Tisca Chopra, Parvin Dabas and Dalip Tahil. Created as an adaptation of the Israeli show with the same name, it has come up crime thriller one would love to enjoy. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, the 10-episode series revolves around the tale of a doctor whose family is under hostage as she has to make a tough decision on killing an innocent man or saving her loved ones.

The first episode goes around introducing the various characters and setting up the premise of the show. SP Prithvi Singh (Ronit Roy) on his last day of duty successfully nabs a terror-accused while his criminal knack even in grim situations makes him a much loved character.

Tisca Chopra plays the role of Dr Mira Anand who is an efficient doctor, given the responsibility to operate on the Chief Minister (Dalip Tahil). Her husband (Parvin Dabas) is a principal whose son always keeps on taking advantage on his account. Right from leaking the exam papers to getting intimate with his classmate, he does it all. While, their young daughter is in a troubled state as she comes to know of her pregnancy.

As the family plans to spend some quality time with each other, they are suddenly attacked by a group of masked people. Dr. Mira at the gunpoint is ordered to kill the CM to save her family.

As the audiences try to keep up with the sudden turn of events, a major jolt comes as the kidnapper reveals himself as SP Prithvi Singh. This twist of a police officer, fighting a terrorist and now planning to murder the CM raises a number of questions.

The first episode clearly offers enough glimpses of the back story of the characters and to add on the characters have played their parts pretty justifiable. Hostages holds enough fodder to spice up the drama in the coming episodes of the series.

However, the major drawback with adaptations is that mostly viewers have the idea as to high the end is going to be but, hooking up with a number of twists and clichés, Hostages is definitely going to take a total put off.
