Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla Expected to be One of His Longest Films

The upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, is generating significant buzz regarding its substantial runtime. According to recent reports, the film is expected to be approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes long (around 170 minutes). If this duration holds through the final censorship process, it will mark one of the longest films in Akshay Kumar’s career over the last twelve years, drawing comparisons to his 2014 hit Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.

While most of the actor’s recent projects have maintained a shorter duration of under 150 minutes, Bhooth Bangla joins a select list of his films that have crossed the 2.5-hour mark. Other notable long-form projects in his filmography include Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Housefull 5, and Baby. Although he appeared in the three-hour Telugu epic Kannappa last year, that was a special appearance, making Bhooth Bangla his most significant lengthy lead role in recent memory.

There is also ongoing speculation regarding the film’s official release date. While originally scheduled for April 10, 2026, rumors suggest the premiere may be pushed to April 17. The delay of the highly anticipated trailer, which was expected in late March, has added to the uncertainty. Fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement from the makers to confirm both the final runtime and the definitive release schedule for the high-stakes horror-comedy.

Earlier, the makers have released the teaser of the film, while Trade Pundit – Taran Adarsh was quick to share it on the microblogging site called X (earlier known as Twitter), how about checking it as under:
