Kartik Aaryan is set to collaborate with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba for the first time on a feature film produced by Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain. This project is being described as a high-concept comedy with a unique twist: a snake serves as the antagonist. According to exclusive information from Bollywood Hungama, this intriguing film was initially offered to Akshay Kumar.

As per the reports of Bollywood Hungama revealed, “Akshay Kumar was the first choice for Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s upcoming film. Discussions were ongoing for some time, but he ultimately decided to step back. He expressed concerns about the concept of a snake versus a human and preferred not to explore this genre again after his experience with Jaani Dushman.”

After multiple meetings with Akshay, Mahaveer Jain and Karan Johar opted to pivot the project by casting Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. The source added, “Kartik was immediately drawn to the idea of a man versus snake and quickly signed on for the film. He believes this project has the potential to be another success for him, especially following his hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, as supernatural themes are currently trending in cinema.”

Now, if we talk about the filming for this snake-themed comedy is set to commence in October 2025, with an anticipated release in the second half of 2026.
