Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan set badly damaged by the Cyclone Tauktae

On Monday the coastal regions of Maharashtra and Mumbai city were hit by the cyclone Tauktae. The damage caused by the cyclone was huge; many lost their lives it also caused immense damage to the properties. Recently it was reported that the set of Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 was hit by the cyclone. Now according to the reports, Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Maidaan’s set got severely damaged by the cyclone. The set was situated on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Luckily there were no casualties reported on the sets of the film. However, the set is badly damaged by the cyclone. But the set has been badly damaged. A large portion of the film was yet to be shot as the shooting of the film had been stalled by the pandemic.

Reportedly, there were around 40 people on the set of Maidaan when the cyclone hit. The guards and curators who were present at the location tried to save as much as possible but their efforts turned futile. This is the second time that the sets of Maidaan have suffered damages. Earlier in May 2020, the set had to be dismantled because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming rains.

Maidaan is based on the life of the football player, late Syed Abdul Rahim. Directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Priyamani.
