Ajay Devgn to collaborate with director Vikas Bahl for a supernatural thriller 

Ajay Devgn who has been working in the industry for over 30 years is known for picking up unique topics for his films has once again picked up a unique subject for his upcoming project. The actor is set to collaborate with director Vikas Bahl for a supernatural thriller. The yet to be titled film marks the first collaboration between Bahl and Ajay Devgn.

Taking to twitter, trade analyst Taran Adarsh made the official announcement today and wrote, “AJAY DEVGN – PANORAMA – VIKAS BAHL COLLABORATE FOR A SUPERNATURAL THRILLER… After the #Blockbuster success of #Drishyam2, #AjayDevgn and #PanoramaStudios reunite for a supernatural thriller, which will be directed by #VikasBahl… The film – not titled yet – will go on floors in June 2023 and will be extensively shot in #Mumbai, #Mussoorie and #London.The film will be produced by #AjayDevgn, #KumarMangatPathak and #AbhishekPathak… Currently in pre-production stage.

The film will be produced by Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banner Ajay Devgn Film and Panorama Studios. They have earlier worked together for last year’s suspense thriller Drishyam 2 which turned out to be a huge blockbuster at the box office. It is currently in the pre-production stage and will go into production in June 2023.  This is also the first time Vikas Bahl will be seen exploring this genre. Bahl is known for directing Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen (2014) and Hrithik Roshan-starrer ‘Super 30’ (2019).

Makers have kept the rest of the details about the film’s plot and rest of the cast under wraps. This is not the first time Ajay Devgn will be seen exploring this genre. He was part of Ram Gopal Verma’s popular horror-drama titled ‘Bhoot’ (2002) where he was seen sharing screen space with Urmila Matondkar.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn was last seen in action-thriller Bholaa (2023), which was an official remake of a Tamil film Kaithi (2019). The film did average collection at the box office and only managed to collect Rs. 110 crore worldwide as of now.

Devgn will be next seen in sports biopic Maidaan, which is all set to hit the theatres on 23 June 2023. Helmed by Amit Sharma, the film also stars Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh and Gajraj Rao.
