Ajay Devgn Gives a Fitting Reply to Tanushree Dutta

Tanushree-Dutta-Ajay-Devgn-

Just after Tanushree Dutta targetted Ajay Devgn for working with a co-actor involved in sexual exploitation of her in a film last decade, the Shivaay actor was quick to respond. She objected Ajay for working in his next film De De Pyaar De with Alok Nath who had sexually exploited the filmmaker Vinita Nanda long back. The actor said that he very much stand for the statement he gave in the media about #MeToo campaign and still is against people who misbehave women in the industry.

However, he said removing Alok Nath from the film would lead monetary blow to the producers. He said that situations are beyond his control and hence he cannot help it working with Alok Nath. Although he stands by for the things he has said earlier about women safety and dignity at the workplace within the industry and outside. He further said that the film was shot outside the country with 10 different actors and replacing Alok Nath from it would be rather difficult for him. Also, the film was shot in October 2018 and by the time the allegation came to light, the shooting was already completed.

He then said it would be rather too difficult for the makers to take fresh dates and get the combination of actors to re-shoot with other actors. Thus the makers have to bear a huge loss if they plan to reshoot the sequences having Alok Nath to replace with other actors. During the trailer launch, the actor avoided commenting about Alok Nath who is alleged with the rape of the lady filmmaker. His film De De Pyaar De happens to be a romantic comedy and Akiv ALi has directed the film, which is releasing next month.
