akshay paid more

After Baahubali 2, one of the biggest films of 2017 is Shankar’s mega budget sci-fi film – 2.0. It’s the spiritual successor to Enthiran – The Robot wherein the film follows a brand new plot even though certain elements form the first part return.  We will get to see Rajinikanth as Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti the Robot again  but this time the antagonist will be played by Bollywood biggie Akshay Kumar. He will play Dr Richards an ornithologist who turns into a crow as a result of a wrong experiment. When the first look of his character was released last year, fans were simply too stunned and impressed.

Even the actor admitted to having applied make-up for the first time for a role in his 25 year old career. However his terrifyingly awesome avatar is just one of things, the fact that he is all set to have an epic face-off with the one and only Thalaiva is a larger topic of discussion. And to think all of this is happening in his first South film. If you can’t process all of this, how will you digest the fact that Akshay Kumar has been paid more than Rajinikanth for this film! Yes, it’s hard to believe but a source confirmed this shocking news, as per media reports. Usually, Akshay Kumar charges a large sum along with the film’s profits. But this time he has charged exorbitant remuneration.

As per reports, the actor charged Rs 2 crore per day. When it was calculated, it came to up to larger sum than Thalaiva’s remuneration. Makers and technicians haven’t spoken up regarding this matter but inside sources have confirmed this – Akshay Kumar was paid more than Rajinikanth. The film also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain among others. The music has been composed by AR Rahman. The film has been made on extravagant budget of Rs 350- 400 crore. The teaser was to be out on April 14th but there has been no official annoucement regarding the same.
