The week belongs to two mid budget films, which are made on non commercial subjects showcasing the hardcore reality based subjects. One of these includes Aisa Yeh Jahaan, which is made on the dreams and aspirations of a common man living in metro cities like Bombay. It also showcases certain pertinent issue of the people of North East who are still not considered to be Indians by the rest of the population in India. In a sense this film also deals with certain noble issues like environment preservation, however, with no more promotions and low star value the film is likely to fall flat on the ground.
It has a decent cast including Dr. Palash Sen and Ira Dubey with a debut director showcasing such a burning subject. Hence to expect much from the film would be a naïve thing from anyone. Also, with massive competition like Bajrangi Bhijaan and even Bahubali to expect a surge in the coming weekend is also not possible. As per reports, the film witnessed very low occupancy tolling to around 5-10 percent. With limited screens, the first day collection for Aisa Yeh Jahaan tolled to around 52 lakhs, which is expected to remain the same in the first weekend.
