Nathu Dada, a dwarf artist who has worked in many films including Raj Kapoor’s film Mera Naam Joker, died today in Rajnandgaon. Nathu Dada, who worked in films for nearly two decades, was 70 years old.
Nathu Dada acted in more than 150 films. He was a resident of Rampur village in Rajnandgaon district. He started his career with Raj Kapoor film Mera Naam Joker.
After watching Dara Singh in a wrestling competition in Bhilai in 1969, he moved towards films. It was Dara Singh who introduced her to Raj Kapoor in Mumbai.
He worked with many artists including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Rajkumar, Premnath, Dara Singh, Amjad Khan and Feroz Khan. He was living the life of poverty and oblivion in recent times.
