Exclusive! Inaamulhaq reveals Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are very down to earth people; “They both are always eager to learn from their co-stars”

Inaamulhaq, a National School of Drama (NSD) alumnus, has proved his acting talent in films such as Airlift (2016) and Jolly LLB 2 (2017). Filmistaan (2014) and web series Maharani (2021),

The actor will be now seen in yet another key role in Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan- starrer upcoming romantic comedy ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’. In an exclusive interview with CineTalkers, the actor talked about his role in the film, his experiences of working with Vicky and Sara Ali Khan, and much more.

“To be honest, it’s a little difficult to reveal much about my character because my character plays a small but very important role in the film’s story” revealed Inaamulhaq. “There are also a few interesting surprises associated with my character, so revealing too much about my character now will spoil the fun of watching the film in theatre, but I can guarantee you that the audience will be thoroughly entertained, and they will leave with a soothing smile on their face. And this is what you want in today’s world”.

The actor also spoke about his experience of working with Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan for the first time. “Vicky and Sara both are extremely talented artists and also very down to earth people. It was a lot of fun shooting with them. They both were always eager to learn something new from their co-stars. And you all will notice the hard work they and all other artists have put once you watch the film on the big screen”.

Inaamulhaq also noted that, while they had a lot of fun during the shoot, it was also not easy for them because the entire production took place in the midst of the Covid-19’s second wave, and the entire cast and crew had to strictly adhere to all of the Covid-19 rules and restrictions. “Sometimes shooting while also adhering to all of the Covid-19s rules and regulations can have an impact on your performance, but thankfully, Vicky, Sara, Sharib Hashmi, our director Laxman, and the rest of the cast and crew had such a great camaraderie that we didn’t let that bother us too much. So there was a quiet peaceful atmosphere on the set during the shoot and we didn’t have to face any chillamchilli on the set.”

‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’s trailer mentions that the film will remind the viewers of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s films, When asked about the similarities between this film and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s work, Inaamulhaq replied, “Just like Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s films, this is also a very realistic and simple film. There will be no cinematic melodrama here. Just like Hrishi-da’s popular films, you will also notice in this film the ordinary things and issues middle class families go through in their daily lives. I won’t say much more; you’ll have to watch the movie in the theatre to notice the parallels”.

‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ is directed by Laxman Utekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under their production banner Maddock Films and Jio Studios  the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 2 June 2023.
