The Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha starrer movie Action Jackson movie seemed doing decent business over the box office since past one week. As per the reports, the movie was able to collect around 45.75 crores, which is actually a decent figure. The movie started with a good note, however, during the weekdays, the collection dropped down with Thursday the collection went to 3 crores. However, as per high expectations set for the movie, it failed to surpass the expectations and its been seven days its release the movie has still not completed the collection of 50 crores.
Hence its destination to enter into the 100 crore club seems to be far-fetched as  today Rajnikanth starrer Linga has released, which is going to hamper the collection of Action Jackson. And since today being Rajnikanth’s birthday, the collection for Linga is expected to soar a lot, which is not a good news for Action Jackson. Hence Prabhudeva need to give up his dream of entering into 100 crore movie. The next week will belong to Aamir Khan starrer movie PK, which is hitting the theatres with a big bang.
The other reason, why the film failed to pick up was due to the dull story and content and the kind of negative ratings it has garnered both from the critics and audiences. So, the word of mouth publicity was almost negative for the film, which did the damage. The previous movie of Ajay Devgn- Singham Returns did start with a bang collecting around 30 crores in just one day. He simply failed to replicate the magic for the audience this time.
