Talking about the plot, it deals with the same genre – the crime thriller wherein the leading man – the cop leaves no stone unturned to solve them and emerge as a hero in the society but a villain for the perpetrators. In the second season, the cases are gorier than the earlier ones and the fierce and fearless cop is smart enough to crack every single case using his wit, smartness and daring. Hence the second season starts at the point where the first installment left behind. We see every other case getting deeper and darker with every single episode. With Abhay 2, the cases become more horrific and similar is the story of the last episode Road To Justice where a mechanical engineer comes out and start killing the people of homosexual community considering as a crusade war against the sin called same sex affair.

Talking about the performances, Kunal playing the cop Abhay honing his skills better than the prequel as he treads the path of solving different unsolved and shutdown cases with his instincts. Chunkey Panday playing a serial killer seemed incredible in his character as he brings out the negative shades with utter confidence and great competence. Binita Das plays a courtesan who remains the victim of this pervert. Similar is the story of other actors of the ensemble star cast as each plays their character with utter perfection and professionalism. Thanks to the filmmaker Ken Ghosh who remains the key driver of the second season. His perfect direction came seamlessly as he unleashed the thrill and spins in an amazing way giving some nerve wracking crime to the audience. He was able to keep the narrative strong and up. Similar was the story with other aspects of the second season, which include photography, screenplay, dialogues, editing and other technical elements. In other words, everything remains at par adding values to the audience experience.
