For Abhay Deol, he feels that most of the roles he had played in films have remained anti-hero in his career. Now as we see him doing his debut in Tamil film, he is back again in a negative role, which he calls as his natural progression in his career. He was quick to share the first glimpse of his negative character over his Instagram page. While sharing his first look he wrote that he is on the sets for the film titled as The Hero.
He then said that he is playing a negative character in the film and it remains a natural profession in his career. He said the same as we have seen above. While talking about making his debut in South Indian films, he said, Tamil film is his new territory and a new language. The film The Hero is directed by PS Mithran. However, his first film in South Indian cinema was with the movie called ‘Irumbu Thirai’ which gave him for playing an overpowering role of an antagonist.
In his earlier interviews, he said that playing a negative role in the film will add another additional responsibility in his life that would help him play and create a villainous character having herculean shades. While talking about his character he said it is very much unpredictable and unassuming. Talking about his reactions, he just gave a smile and then added that the character will have more terror lying beneath it. Besides this film, he is also working in yet another Tamil movie called Idhu Vedalam Sollum Kadhai. The last time we saw the actor was in the Netflix original film Chopsticks. He was also in Zero.
