Aamir Khan is known for his activism and social work. His program Satyamev Jayate bears testimony to this. Action 2015 is a global initiative, which is meant to make a better tomorrow by spreading the awareness by a number of celebrities all across the world. The United Nations would be organizing two key summits on the same this year, the first would be held in September wherein delegates all across the world would come agree on eradicating social evils like poverty, inequality, etc. to make our planet sustainable.
The other summit would be held somewhere in December wherein the well being of people would be discussed along with the handling kids’ issues to make things favorable for everyone. There are many celebrities across the globe including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Bill Gates, Malala Yousafzai, Hugg Jackman, Ted Turner, Jose Padiha, and Aamir Khan is the only celebrity in India to sign the initiative. India happens to be the signatory of this program, while Aamir would be representing the country.
For being the part of this initiative, Aamir Khan will be working in the direction of achieving this New Millennium Goals, which would include poverty alleviation, children education, environment protection, etc. Aamir’s role in this regard would be to initiate things at the grass root level for poverty and various illness alleviation and in order to gear up for this campaign, Aamir has written letter to PM.
