Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar smarshed all box office records in China
The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT),happens to be China’s primary media regulatory authority, which states the box office collection as well about different films. Of late, the B Town films have been doing well in China particularly the Aamir Khan films. As per the regulatory’s recent reports, the February 2018 swiftly busted all the past records by earning 10 billion yuan mark, which is around 1.57 billion in USD thus setting up another global benchmark for the monthly box-office record of China.
With this new benchmark which has been set by the PRC box-office, it has simply dethroned with great ease with the long-held record of North America’s $1.395 billion gross industry of July 2011 when three Hollywood blockbusters like Harry Potter and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, along with Captain America did great at the box office. Well this has been a big milestone to cover at the box-office history. China is regarded as the world’s second-largest market for films and it is seen overtaking the film industry of US and Canada by the start of early 2019.
Now talking about the Aamir Khan film called Secret Superstar in China, the film was released int this country on 19th January 2018 and has been running so far so good. As per reports, the total gross collection for the film in China has reached to 260 million yuan (USD 41 million). It has grossed this amount in just 18-days in February alone. Although one can find an increase of 12.5% increase at the box-office sale since the 18 days in the midst of Feb. With this, the film has reached to its new height beating all the other films from Hollywood. If you remember even Aamir Khan films like Dangal and PK have done great over the box office in China and with every passing film the actor is becoming a big brand in B Town in China.
