Its been three weeks when the Aamir Khan starrer movie Thugs of Hindostan finally released. The film despite having loads of expectation failed at the box office struggling at the collection of around 150 Crore when it was made at a whopping cost of 300 Cr. The Yash Raj movie invited loads of criticism for getting low collection at the box office. As per the recent buzz, the actor Aamir Khan who played the key role in it has taken the complete responsibility for its failure for failing to impress the audience. He was present at the Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Contest, and while talking to the media he said that the crew has worked hard in bringing out the Magnus opus but people they went wrong in giving what people wanted.
The film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya had roped in an ensemble cast including Big B, Aamir, Katrina Kaif and the Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh. When he was asked whether he has got a sharp negative criticism, he said that everyone is free from liking or disliking any movie. He then said that the audience is free to treat any movie as they want although they tried their level best to bring out the best film for the audience. He further said that the audience had come with great expectation but the film did not do well as per their expectations.
He then said he apologize for failing in meeting the expectations before the audience. He said that he feels sorry for not entertaining the audience in a way they wanted. He concluded by saying that he and his team have tried their best to entertain the audience but failed to do so, though the team had worked hard. The film last Saturday has only gained 35 lakhs which talks a lot about the way it has worked over the box office. In fact, Badhai Ho had earned better last Saturday gaining 2 Cr on the day. For Aamir and Big B, it turned out a sad film, and the makers are mourning to get half of the collection of the money invested in making this movie.
