Aamir Khan Postpones ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Trailer Launch in Wake of Pahalgam Tragedy

Aamir Khan has decided to postpone the trailer launch of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par in response to the recent tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The attack, which resulted in the loss of several Indian tourists’ lives, has deeply shaken the nation. On April 22, gunmen opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam, claiming the lives of 26 individuals and injuring many others. This incident is one of the most heartbreaking attacks in the region’s history.
Originally scheduled for release this week as part of the film’s promotional campaign, the trailer has been delayed. Aamir Khan and his team made this decision as a mark of respect for the victims and their families.A source close to the film’s production told Hindustan Times, “Aamir Khan and his team felt it would be inappropriate to proceed with the launch at this time. A new release date for the trailer will be announced later.”The Pahalgam attack occurred around 2:30 PM on Tuesday, leaving a devastating aftermath of grief. Among the victims were a young Navy officer, who had just married days before, and an Intelligence Bureau official, tragically shot in front of his wife.
Officials confirmed that the casualties included two foreign nationals—one from the UAE and another from Nepal—as well as two local residents. Aamir Khan is set to make his cinematic comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par, following his last film, Laal Singh Chaddha, released in 2022. Reports indicate that Darsheel Safary, known for his standout performance in Taare Zameen Par, will be launching the trailer for the highly anticipated sequel. Announced in 2023, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in key roles. More details about the trailer launch are eagerly awaited.
