Why would he not be one of the biggest new makers in the country? He does everything so simply awesome and in style! If perfection is his second name, he never misses to exemplify it. Well, that is what Aamir Khan has been doing in Bollywood for several years now. He needs no publicity nor false marketing moves to have his film in the news. His films are always sought after by the young and old alike. If his austerity for boycotting award functions was not enough, he brought out “ Satymev Jayate” and take took the nation by storm and created social ripples that none before had done.
Dhoom 3 is upon release and Aamir’s first time association with Aditya Chopra is a matter of curiosity. To add to the thrill, Katrina, the glam doll matches shoulder to shoulder with him in what some say is an unusual pairing. But a gripping plot has always made up for all the awkward appearances. So the curiosity is all high. Aamir, known to try new looks every time has not disappointed his admirers. We call it rather tricky look for we know he plays the trickster this time. This follows an array of experiments the actor has done over all these years in the due course of his career that began two decades ago with the Romance Saga Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. The starry eyed young lad had it big on the screen soon with films like Dil, Raja Hindustani, Andaz Apna Apna. He struck gold with his first home production Lagaan that was a period film with a difference. For many it was an exceptionally novel and intelligent film and won Aamir laurels as India’s entry to the Oscar then. As Mangla Pandey, Aamir created patriotism vividly on screen once again. Sarfarosh was a patriotic film one would swear by. By now expectations were high as Aamir emerged as a league different from his contemporaries. Next to follow were epoch-making Rang De Basanti,Tare Zameen Par and an all record smashin 3 Idiots.
Belonging to a film-friendly family, Aamir’s passion for films came no late. Remarrying his co-worker from Lagaan, Kiran Rao, he is now active in Bollywood more has a filmmaker than an actor. Aamir has been awarded Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan in the years 2003 and 2010 respectively. In 2013, he was amongst Times’ 100 most influential people.
