Aamir Khan and Family Respond to Faisal Khan’s Allegations of Confinement

Recently, actor Faisal Khan made a deeply personal revelation, accusing his family of confining him at home for an entire year. He claimed they labelled him mentally ill, subjected him to treatment against his will, and even hospitalized him. Faisal’s statements quickly drew widespread media attention, prompting a unified response from the Khan family. Aamir Khan and other family members issued a heartfelt collective statement addressing the accusations.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Faisal said, “Mujhe qaid kar ke rakha tha ghar mein ek saal (I was confined in the house for a year) and they were saying I’ve got schizophrenia and I’m a mad person and I will harm society. JJ Hospital mein mujhe 20 din rakha gaya (I was kept at the hospital for 20 days), test kiya gaya, general ward mein, mental logon ke saath (I was tested in the general ward where I was kept with mental people).”In response, Aamir Khan and his family expressed their anguish over what they called a “hurtful and misleading portrayal” of themselves, including Zeenat Tahir Husain and Nikhat Hegde.

The family also emphasized their efforts to keep these matters private to protect everyone’s dignity and asked the media to handle the situation sensitively, avoiding sensationalism. “We request the media for empathy, and to refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory and hurtful gossip,” they appealed. The statement was signed by several family members, including Reena Datta, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Farhat Datta, Rajiv Datta, Kiran Rao, Santosh Hegde, Seher Hegde, Mansoor Khan, Nuzhat Khan, Imran Khan,

Tina Fonseca, Zayn Marie Khan, and Pablo Khan, showing a united front amid the controversy. Faisal Khan, once a promising child actor, has faced ongoing challenges with mental health that have often played out in public. His revelations underscore the difficulties families face when managing psychological disorders, especially under the glare of media attention.

This episode highlights the urgent need for compassion and understanding around mental health issues, particularly when loved ones are involved. The Khan family’s plea for privacy and empathy serves as a vital reminder to approach such sensitive topics with care rather than judgment or sensationalism.
