To celebrate Jeetendra’s 75th Birthday, ‘Swayamdeep’ had organized a musical gala event ‘Celebrating Jeetendra’. Dynamic, energetic and full of energy that’s how one describes Bollywood’s megastar Jeetendra. It is he who really gave a new dimension to dancing in Bollywood.
In the graceful presence of Jeetendra himself, the musical mega event was held at Shanmukhananda Auditorium, Sion. ‘Celebrating Jeetendra’ a mega musical show conceptualized and organized by Dr Bhavanaraj Dhabre, Chairperson, Swayamdeep to commemorate the journey of Jeetendra where he was awarded with a title ‘Himmatwala’.
A boy from Chawl in Girgaum to Iconic star Jeetendra is a long journey with multiple ups and downs. Twice in the 40-year career Jeetendra experienced setbacks. Having hit these two lows, he fought and raised back again. These efforts and facing the challenges truly made him ‘Himmatwala’ in his real life.
The auditorium in the evening was mesmerized with the amazing performance of Shaan along with the other singers Ruhaan Kapoor, Sarwesh Mishra, Priyanka Mitra, Rajesh Aiyyar to mention few. Highlight of the evening when Jeetendra matched his footsteps on his all-time hit songs with the performing dancers. In the presence of Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Kiran Shantaram, Dr Bhavanaraj Dhabre and the audience; Jeetendra’s life depicting beautiful cake was cut with a birthday song sung by Sonu Nigam.
Incidentally, the fund raised through this event is utilized for generating platform for the singing talent from economically challenged background.
