Biopics are the new genres that seem to have gone hit in B Town. Many Biopic movies like MS Dhoni, Mary Kom and Milkha Singh have done well over the box office. So, for the B Town filmmakers, it is a new opportunity to make biopics on the known people. One such personality is Mother Teresa the Nobel laureate. It was Seema Upadhyay who announced the biopic, and she is the one who has written the story and now would be directing the film. The film has both the actors from B Town and global actors in it, while it is produced by a slew of people including Pradeep Sharma, Girish Johar, Prachi Manmohan and Nitin Manmohan.
The makers were seen meeting Sister Prema Mary Pierick who happens to be the current Superior General of the Missionaries of Charity, as well as Sister Lynne in Kolkata to get the blessings from the ladies for the venture. Mother Teresa hails from Albania in the year 1929 and has established the Missionaries of Charity in the year 1948. The makers informed the media that they had visited the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata and had a good experience while visiting the same.
They also claimed that they had been excited to bring out the biopic on Mother Teresa, who is popular all across the world for the charity work. They also said that the lady has been a global icon and has worked hard to help the poor and the underprivileged to grow and prosper. The film would be a tribute to the lady who has done justice to humanity with love and peace. The script of the film is ready while the makers are now in the process of deciding upon the star cast along with other things. The film is expected to hit the floors by the end of this year while it will release in 2020.
