Two movies hit this Friday, which certainly included the non commercial film called Angry Indian Goddesses. This film directed by Pan Nalin had a slew of actresses in it making it a women centric movie. It has one of the best stories, which even helped the film to enter the Toronto Film Festival wherein it even bagged the second position for the People’s choice cinema. However, with poor buzz for the film in the media, thanks to the low promotion of the film there was hardly any pre buzz for the movie, which failed to turn big over the silver screen in terms of collection.
Now, as per the reports, the 1st day box office collection for Angry Indian Goddesses tolls to around 50 to 75 lakhs on its first day. The reasons are obvious you have Hate Story 3 in the competition, which has prevented the people to make any collection for the other film. Also, don’t underestimate the power of the Imtiaz Ali film, which was released last week called Tamasha, which also attracted audience towards it. In other words, the film Angry Indian Goddesses has a bad time for its first day, which may only escalate provided you have some word of mouth buzz for it in the coming weekend.
