Nana Patekar Messaged Friend at 2:30 AM Saying He Was Unwell, Reveals Doctor; Actor Was “Brought Dead” to Hospital

Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on Thursday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence. Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, shared details of the actor’s final hours, revealing that he was brought to the hospital in an unresponsive state and could not be revived despite prolonged resuscitation efforts.
Speaking to ANI, Dr. Salkar confirmed that Nana Patekar had sent a message to a friend around 2:30 AM stating that he was not feeling well. Because it was late at night, the friend did not see the text immediately. Upon noticing the message later, the friend called Nana and rushed to his residence at around 4:00 AM, where he found the actor sweating heavily as his physical condition deteriorated rapidly.
As Nana began losing consciousness, his caretaker was sent to Manipal Hospital to request emergency medical assistance. The hospital dispatched an emergency response team along with an ambulance. Upon arriving at the residence, the medical team found Nana completely unresponsive and immediately initiated cardiac massage.
Nana was shifted to the hospital between 4:20 AM and 4:30 AM. Doctors continued CPR and resuscitation efforts for nearly an hour, but he could not be saved and was officially declared dead at 5:30 AM. Dr. Salkar noted that because the death falls under a medico-legal case, the police were informed, and the actor’s body was sent to Goa Medical College for a post-mortem examination. His friends and caretaker were present at the hospital, while his family members were not in town at the time.
