Kareena Kapoor Khan joins Shah Rukh Khan starrer King for a special dance number: Report

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming mega-budget action thriller King has reportedly added another big name to its star-studded ensemble. Reports suggest that Kareena Kapoor Khan has joined the cast for a special appearance. She is expected to feature alongside Shah Rukh in a peppy dance number titled “Daddy Cool,” which will be composed by the musician duo Sachin-Jigar.

According to a source quoted by Pinkvilla, the song is being mounted as a major highlight for the film. The makers aim to bring the duo together in a fresh way, drawing inspiration from their iconic collaborations like “Chammak Challo” and “Criminal” from Ra.One. Reports also indicate that the production team is keen on bringing international artists on board to collaborate with Indian singers for the track. While fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing them share the screen again after 15 years, official confirmation is still awaited.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King marks his reunion with Shah Rukh Khan after their 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. The film’s story is loosely inspired by Luc Besson’s classic Léon: The Professional, following a weathered assassin who protects a young protégé amidst dangerous power struggles. The movie also marks the high-profile theatrical debut of Suhana Khan, who stars alongside her father. Abhishek Bachchan plays the main villain, while the cast includes Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
