Fresh off their Best Hindi Feature Film victory at the 72nd National Film Awards for Srikanth, director Tushar Hiranandani and producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani have announced their next inspirational project, titled Ragda 25. Following their acclaimed real-life dramas like Saand Ki Aankh and Srikanth, the duo’s upcoming venture chronicles the high-stakes journey of the Indian Army’s very first female officer batch.
Ragda 25 centers on 25 inexperienced young women who joined an experimental training program. The stakes were extraordinarily high: if even a single candidate failed, the Army risked closing its doors to women permanently. Since no prior benchmark existed for female officer training, instructors adapted guidelines in real time, discovering areas where female cadets uniquely excelled compared to their male counterparts.
