Ramayana Makers Plan Pathbreaking Pre-Diwali Worldwide Release On November 5
Excitement continues to build for Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated cinematic epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Following earlier reports of staggered domestic and international rollout dates, the makers are now planning a synchronized global release on Thursday, November 5, 2026—bringing the film to theaters across India and overseas markets on the exact same day.
If finalized, releasing three days before Diwali marks a bold and pathbreaking strategy for the producers. Typically, major Indian tentpoles avoid releasing on or immediately before Diwali day, as audiences are usually busy with traditional festive preparations and family pujas. However, industry trade insiders suggest that the immense global hype surrounding Ramayana makes the team confident about drawing massive crowds right from Day 1.
A trade insider noted that a November 5 release sets up an exceptionally long opening frame. With initial momentum building over the pre-Diwali weekend, box office collections are expected to hit historic peaks on November 9, the primary post-Diwali public holiday. This extended first-week window could allow the film to set unprecedented box office records both in India and internationally.
The grand two-part saga features an ensemble star cast:
