Ahan Shetty Set for Horror Debut with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920: Cold Winter
Actor Ahan Shetty is reportedly preparing to venture into the supernatural genre for the first time by starring in 1920: Cold Winter, the upcoming sixth installment of Vikram Bhatt’s celebrated horror franchise. After launching his acting career with the romantic action drama Tadap and recently appearing in the multi-starrer Border 2, Ahan is intentionally diversifying his filmography. By exploring vastly different movie genres early in his career, the young actor aims to showcase his versatility and take on fresh creative challenges in mainstream Hindi cinema.
The project is currently in its initial development phase, with director Vikram Bhatt and producer Anand Pandit busy finalizing the script. While Ahan is attached as the male lead, the casting process for the leading lady is actively underway. Unlike previous entries in the 1920 series that often introduced fresh faces, the makers are deliberately seeking a well-known, established actress to star opposite Ahan this time around.
Production logistics are already moving forward behind the scenes. The filmmaker-producer duo is gearing up for a location scouting trip to Scotland to lock in scenic overseas backdrops, while key portions of the movie are also slated to be filmed in the picturesque hill station of Shimla. If everything proceeds according to the team’s planned timeline, principal photography for 1920: Cold Winter is scheduled to kick off in November.
Although neither Ahan Shetty nor the filmmakers have issued an official confirmation regarding the collaboration, excitement surrounding the project continues to build among fans. In the meantime, Ahan is also preparing for the release of his next major feature, Sanki, directed by Tinu Desai, further expanding his growing lineup of diverse roles.
