YRF Secures Massive 9,000-Show Release for Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha

Distribution is the ultimate backbone of the film trade, and Yash Raj Films (YRF) has just reminded the industry who rules the market. Ahead of its highly anticipated release this week, YRF has locked in a massive, wide-scale rollout for its newest Spy Universe entry, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.

According to trade data, the Shiv Rawail directorial is hitting 2,750 screens nationwide. This marks one of the widest releases of all time for a female-led film in Indian cinema history.

Breaking Down the Massive Screen Count

Looking at the Total Screens: it has gone beyond 2,750 across India while the Daily Show Count is interesting, which goes to around 9,000 shows, outperforming the release footprint of several male-dominated blockbusters over the past year. Now, talking about the Opening Day Projection, Alpha is tracking to sell around 35,000 tickets in national multiplex chains alone, pacing toward a solid ₹7 crore opening day.

Standing Tall in a Crowded Box Office Clash

Securing this level of real estate is no small feat, considering the film is releasing in a heavily congested window alongside major titles like Welcome to the Jungle, Cocktail 2, and Main Vaapas Aaunga.

“In times when most films are struggling for a proper release in a crowded window, YRF has secured a solid release for Alpha, which speaks volumes about their goodwill and muscle power,” a trade source shared.

The Weekend Strategy

By maximizing the initial screen count, YRF has given Alpha the perfect platform to explode. If the word-of-mouth leans positive, the massive 9,000-show count gives the spy thriller more than enough room to witness a massive surge in business over its first weekend.
