Blockbuster Deal: Pen Marudhar Bags All-India Rights for Shah Rukh Khan’s King in ₹250 Crore Agreement

Actor Gaurav Gera recently shared insights into his collaboration with Ranveer Singh on the sets of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, praising the star’s disciplined work ethic and artistic growth.

In a conversation with India Today, Gera highlighted Ranveer’s reputation for being meticulously organized and deeply focused. He noted that Ranveer’s “superstar” status is a direct result of his immersion in his characters. Beyond his own performance, Gera was particularly impressed by Ranveer’s commitment to his co-stars, mentioning that the actor remained on set to provide cues for Gera’s scenes even when he wasn’t required to stay.

A Nostalgic Connection

The duo previously went viral for their “Chutki-Shopkeeper” sketch, a moment Ranveer hadn’t forgotten despite the years. Gera recounted their first meeting on the Dhurandhar set:

“He tapped my shoulder and said, ‘How are you, Chutki?’ I was surprised because I had a beard and looked quite different, but he still remembered.”

Evolutionary Performance

Gera also discussed Ranveer’s portrayal of Hamza, noting a distinct shift in his acting style:

  • Controlled Energy: Unlike his high-energy public persona, Ranveer brings a sense of “calmness” to this role.
  • Artistic Growth: Gera described the performance as a sign of Ranveer’s maturity, showcasing a more measured and powerful screen presence.

While Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its successful run at the box office, it is clear that the off-screen camaraderie and Ranveer’s “completely involved” approach have left a lasting impression on his colleagues.
