Teasers of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana and Controversial AI Film Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal to Premiere with Avatar: Fire And Ash

With less than 24 hours to go before the release of Avatar: Fire And Ash, excitement is reaching a fever pitch for James Cameron’s latest blockbuster. Adding to the cinematic treat, audiences will also get to see two intriguing teasers before the film’s screening starting December 19.The first is the much-anticipated teaser of Ramayana, which was launched earlier this year on July 3 and has already garnered praise for its star-studded cast and breathtaking visual effects. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari (DangalChhichhore), the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash (of KGF fame) as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with the Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film boasts a screenplay by Shridhar Raghavan and music by legends A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The first part is slated for a grand Diwali 2026 release, with the sequel planned for Diwali 2027. This 3D teaser will make its theatrical debut alongside Avatar: Fire And Ash, offering audiences a spectacular glimpse of this epic saga.

The second teaser is for Hanuman – The Eternal, a pioneering Indian film created using artificial intelligence, which has not yet been released digitally. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar (Ferrari Ki SawaariRudra: The Edge of Darkness), and produced by Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment and Collective Media Network’s Historyverse, the film promises stunning visuals and a grand portrayal of Lord Hanuman. It is scheduled for theatrical release on Hanuman Jayanti, April 2, 2026. This teaser’s premiere on the big screen will be the first time audiences get a look at this ambitious project.
However, Hanuman – The Eternal has stirred controversy, with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap criticizing the film and one of its producers, Vijay Subramaniam, for backing an AI-generated movie while leading an artists’ agency. Kashyap’s sharp remarks called out the project as a troubling sign for the industry, accusing it of undermining traditional artists. Together, these teasers add an exciting dimension to the cinematic experience for viewers heading to theaters for Avatar: Fire And Ash.
