Param Sundari 1st Weekend worldwide box office: The Sidharth & Janhvi Kapoor film beats Dhadak 2 lifetime collection
The romantic comedy Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is finally showing signs of recovery at the box office after a slow start. Thanks to mixed-to-positive reviews and growing word of mouth, the film’s collections in India have begun to rise steadily.
On Sunday, Param Sundari earned ₹10.25 crore net in India, marking an 11% increase from Saturday and nearly a 40% jump compared to its opening day on Friday. This growth has helped the film achieve a strong opening weekend domestic total of ₹26.75 crore net (₹32 crore gross).
Trade sources also report encouraging overseas performance, especially in markets like the US and the UK, where Indian family dramas and romances generally resonate well.
The film has reportedly earned over $1.1 million (approximately ₹11 crore) internationally. This brings Param Sundari’s worldwide opening weekend total to around ₹43 crore.Notably, Param Sundari has surpassed the lifetime global box office collection of Dhadak 2, the latest romantic drama in Hindi cinema, which earned ₹36 crore worldwide. However, the film still trails behind the blockbuster Saiyaara, released earlier in July.
The Yash Raj Films production featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda earned an impressive ₹117 crore worldwide in its first three days and has grossed over ₹570 crore to date.
While Param Sundari is charting its own path, much depends on how well it performs in the crucial days ahead, particularly the first Monday following its release.

Param Sundari is a cross-cultural love story set against the backdrop of technology and romance in the digital age. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie also features Sanjay Kapoor, Renji Panicker, Siddhartha Shankar, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee in supporting roles.
