83 1st Weekend Box Office Collection with average collection on Sunday

With a decent collection on day one it was a disappointing weekend for Kabir Khan film 83. However, despite all the buzz, the film had a disappointing weekend. The film remained the most awaited one in B Town, yet can see some meager collections here at the box office. The first day was around 16.75 Crores followed by a little less on Saturday and finally around 17 Crores at the box office. As per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection went to around 47 Crores in three days.

Out of the said collection, the major chunk of 28 Crore has come from the top three multiplex chains – Cinepolis, Inox and PVR, while the rest has come from the single screens and even a few of the non-national chains as well. The final collection of 83 was slightly higher than the above-mentioned figure. Yet, it was not that impressive if we compare it with the Akshay Kumar cop drama.

Needless to say that the Kabir Khan film had to face tough times only from other movies like Spider Man: No Way Home along with the South Indian big time film Pushpa. Both films gave tough competition to the sports drama. Also, the panic kind of situation due to the new variant of Covid called Omicron has to be blamed for this. The film has gained a good word of mouth buzz as well but failed to see them converting to 100 percent footfall. Needless to say that some pirated websites published the film online allowing a small chunk of the audience to enjoy it online.
