Hina Khan was seen as a traditional daughter-in-law as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Later, she represented India at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival – one of the few TV actors to achieve this feat. Later, she was chosen by Ekta Kapoor to play the main antagonist Komolika in her show, Kasauti Zindagi Ki.
