Unlike the common man, the B Town celebrities are also known to suffer from common and rare medical ailments. They tend to even face life threatening diseases, while other fail to pray to them but many in this list tend to be winning the race against the menace. The following are some of the Bollywood celebrities who fought serious diseases; let’s check them out as under:
1). Amitabh Bachchan
The Big B had suffered a near fatal intestinal injury in one of the fight scenes in film Coolie. It simply resulted to a rupture which led too much of blood loss. He was even pronounced clinically dead but somehow completely recovered after a few months. Later, he was diagnosed with a disease called Myasthenia gravis. Despite suffering from a number of medical conditions, he still acts like a non-stop actor.
2). Hrithik Roshan
The Kaabil actor had suffered from the chronic subdural haematoma that is generally linked with traumatic brain injury. He was carrying out a head injury while carrying out a stunt for his film Bang Bang in Phuket. He then went a head surgery at Hinduja Hospital to get rid of the blood clot, the actor is perfect now.
3). Lisa Ray
The actress made all the headlines when she did her debut movie Kasoor with Aftab. However, after enjoying a brief stardom with films like Water that was applauded at Toronto International Film Festival, she went unnoticed as we diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009. It is a kind of cancer of plasma cells found in bone marrow, which happens to be a rare disease. She got treated in Canada to become cancer free.
4).Manisha Koirala
The actress is known to have given a number of movies apart from being from the royal family of Nepal. She made her entry into films with South Indian movies and then entered into a film. She was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2012 and later went for a successful surgery in United States. Now, she is free from the menace.
5). Rajnikanth
The superstar of south Indian films and known as a cultural icon of the country, was seen having bad time breathlessness and ever. He remained in the ICU in 2011 for couple of weeks and even flown to Singapore for the treatment.
6).Salman Khan
The Sultan actor was admitted in 2011 when he met the conditions called trigeminal neuralgia, which happens to be a facial nerve ailment. In fact, he disclosed in one of his interviews that he is suffering from this ailment from past seven years and the pain at times becomes unbearable. He is still undergoing a treatment for the same.
7). Shah Rukh Khan
The King of Bollywood has suffered injuries many times on the set. These include the injuries on knee, shoulder and other places. From the film Darr to Happy New Year, he has been suffered with multiple injuries on the films sets. He had gone through a number of surgeries and doing fine with the same.
