Tiger 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan’s Film Enters the 40 Crore Club in Grand Style!

The much-anticipated day of Tiger 3’s box office release has finally arrived, and it’s poised to make history in Indian cinema. Today will not be remembered as the day Salman Khan failed to break opening records; instead, it will be etched in the annals of film history as the day Salman defied convention and released his film on the traditionally weakest day of the Indian calendar, yet still managed to achieve numbers that no other star could replicate.

However, it’s worth considering whether labeling it a historical number is accurate when the actual figures don’t truly break records. It’s more of a self-consoling narrative to suggest that the outcome could have been worse. Imagine if the film had been released on Monday, November 13th, and failed to achieve a blockbuster opening.

Before diving into the estimated box office earnings of Tiger 3 on its opening day, let’s revisit the previous record holder for this particular day. In 2011, Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One set the benchmark with an impressive opening day collection of 18.50 crores.

Accounting for inflation, Ra.One’s opening day collection would be approximately 39-40 crores in today’s currency. Has Salman surpassed this milestone? Yes, he has!

According to reliable sources, Tiger 3 has not only breached the 40 crore mark but has also significantly exceeded it. When advance bookings for the film began, it appeared like the movie might just reach the 35 crore mark on day 1. However, things improved with each passing day, and as YRF had hoped, spot bookings on the final day provided the necessary boost.

Yash Raj Films’ latest entry in the spy universe has shattered all records, earning 43 crores on day 1.

Salman Khan surpasses Salman Khan!

This also suggests that Tiger 3 has a strong chance of overtaking Bharat’s day 1 collection of 42.30 crores to become Salman Khan’s highest-grossing opener ever. This is remarkable considering the release date, when everyone anticipated lower earnings. If the film has managed to earn in the range of 41-43 crores despite a significant drop in footfalls in the second half, imagine the impact it will have on day 2.
