Shah Rukh Khan announced his next flick Pathaan. The announcement came as a surprise for his fans. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will be released on January 25, 2023.
Given that this is SRK’s first film in four or five years, films scheduled to release near Pathaan may be rescheduled.
These five films could be the contended pushing ahead.
Fighter has the best probability of having its release date pushed back or postponed. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will star in a film directed by Siddharth Anand. Last August, Viacom18 booked Republic Day, 2023, but clashing with Pathaan will only hurt both films’ sales.
Prabhas’ mythological film, is another pan-Indian film that had a risk of losing box office numbers by releasing around the same time as Pathaan.
Speaking of recent date announcements, John Abraham recently disclosed that his next movie would be titled Tehran and will be released in theatres on January 26, 2023.
Given that it’s billed as an action thriller, Maddock Films may decide to postpone it, as competing with another action film would be counterproductive.
In RRR, Ram Charan will meet audiences across India in March. Shankar’s RC 15 is slated for a Sankranti release in the coming year. The film, which also stars Kiara Advani, was previously set to be rescheduled due to Adipurush. It’s now even more likely to happen.

Finally, we have a film that has already had its release date pushed back to avoid a clash with Khan’s action thriller. And it’s none other than Luv Ranjan’s untitled romantic comedy, in which Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor star for the first time.
