It was a busy Friday yesterday when we saw several movies hitting the theatres. These certainly include 3 Storey, which star Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Renuka Shahane and Sharman Joshi to name a few. The film faced a tough competition from the movies like Hate Story 4 and Dil Juunglee. Though none of these films claimed to earn huge at the box office, but the movie 3 Storeys seemed much smaller than expected, as it was for the niche audience as compared to the other two.
However, the 3 Storeys failed to call the audience for the same old reasons. Despite having the talents the film failed to impress the audience. Well, now let’s check the way it has performed. As per reports, the 1st day box office collection for 3 Storeys reached to around 75 lakhs, which seems less as compared to other films. The experts feel that the film has less chances to have higher collection in its opening collection that would range around Rs 50-75 lakhs on the coming two days of the weekend.
In a sense, the film would collect a figure of around Rs 2-3 crore at the end of the first weekend. If the film was expected to get a decent word of mouth but with niche subject, it becomes difficult for makers to create the buzz for their film. At the same time, the star value of the film seems to have gone lower, which also have put similar impact over the film i a big way. So despite the film with good content and cool performances, it failed to give the audience a decent collection at the end of the first day and similar story would continue for the 3 Storeys. Also, the competition one of the factors that has hampered the film in a big way. Had this film a solo release, it would have done a better business.
