The 66th National Film Awards has been announced last time and it was a great gala time to see the starry night at the National Capital where people of different cinema have gathered to collect their awards. The Vice President Mr. Venkaiah Naidu along with Mr. Javdekar the Information and Broadcasting Minister gave away the awards. Let’s explore the list of the awards as under:

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar bagged The Best Direction Award for Uri: The Surgical Strike

Keerthy Suresh bagged The Best Actor (Female) for the film Mahanati

Swanand Kirkire bagged the Best Supporting Actor (Male) for the film Chumbak

Surekha Sikri bagged the Best Supporting Actor (Female) for the film Badhaai Ho

Badhaai Ho bagged the Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment

Andhadhun bagged the Best Hindi Film

Best Adapted Screenplay: Andhadhun, Sriram Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, Yogesh Chandekar, Hemant Rao & Pooja Ladha Surti

Padman – Best Film on Social Issues

Sanjay Leela Bhansali the Best Music Direction: Padmaavat

Shashwat Sachdev for Best Background Score for Uri: The Surgical Strike,

The Best Male Playback Singer for Arjit Singh (Binte Dil – Padmaavat)

The Special Jury Award include for Hellaro actresses Shraddha Dangar, Denisha Ghumra, Shachi Joshi, Neelam Paanchal, Brinda Nayak, Tarjani Bhadla, Tejal Panchasara, Ekta Bachwani, Kaushambi Bhatt, Kamini Panchal, Riddhi Yadav, Jagruti Thakore, Prapti Mehta and Kedara director Indradip Dasgupta to name a few.
