Kangana Ranaut moves to Bombay High Court as authorities refuse to renew her passport

Kangana Ranaut never fails to make headlines. As per the reports, the actress has once again moved to Bombay High Court, this time for a passport issue. As per the reports passport authority reportedly raised objections against renewing her document over an FIR filed against her.

Kangana Ranaut’s passport expires on September 15 following which she approached the authority to renew it. The actress needs to travel to Budapest for the shoot of Dhaakad from June 15 till August 30, 2021. The application is yet to be heard by Bombay HC today.

Reports suggest that while renewing process of the passport authority raised objections after she disclosed an FIR was filed against her in the Munawar Ali case over her social media posts.

For the unversed, in 2020 an FIR had been registered against the actress and her sister’s, Rangoli Chandel over their social media posts alleging that it was to instigate communal violence.

Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, told Bombay HC, “She had a schedule to travel to Budapest, Hungary from 15th of June, 2021 till 30th of August, 2021 in order to complete the second shooting schedule of a Hindi Film, Dhaakad.”
Her lawyer also informed the court that Kangana needs to be present at the shoot as huge investments had been made for the shoot by the production house.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana Ranaut has multiple films in her kitty currently, including Thalaivi, Dhaakad and Tejas.
