Tarla teaser: Huma Qureshi is an aspiring chef with big dreams

Huma Qureshi transforms into ace Chef Tarla Dalal in the upcoming biopic film Tarla. The makers of the film dropped the movie’s teaser and one can see her as an aspiring chef with big dream.

The OTT Channel Zee5 took to Instagram and shared the teaser which they captioned, “Prepare to be served with a dash of emotions, a sprinkle of inspiration and a garnish of flavourful entertainment in #Tarla on #ZEE5, coming soon.” Take a look at the video here:

The one-minute and twelve-second teaser begins with a classic tiffin box and pressure cooker and introduces us to Huma’s Tarla. She is a driven married young woman who wants to make a difference in her life but has yet to discover her true calling. She gradually finds that she enjoys cooking and that it is her true passion. As a result, her journey to becoming a well-known professional chef from an amateur cook begins.

She eventually establishes her own home cooking classes and later hosts her own television shows. Along with demonstrating her love of cooking, the little teaser also provides an insight into her personal life, since it involves her husband and family. Sharib Hashmi plays her husband’s part.

The short teaser makes it clear that the film will be a feel-good story about renowned chef finding her true passion. Helmed by Piyush Gupta, ‘the biopic Tarla’ will premiere on Zee5.

About Tarla Dalal: Tarla Dalal was a culinary writer, chef, cookbook author, and cooking show host who specialised in Indian, specifically Gujarati cuisine. She wrote over 100 cookbooks and sold over 10 million copies. She was given the Padma Shri by the government of India in 2007, making her the only Indian in the profession of cookery to get the honour. She died of a heart attack on November 6, 2013, at the age of 77.
